Jack's 4th Grade performance

This time it was a trip around the world to see what California is made of...a little bit of this and that. Jack's class was Hawaii and he did a speech about Duke Kahanamoku-who brought surf culture to California...did a GREAT job and didn't get nervous like he normally does...the guy is growing up!!

Baseball 2009

The older the boys get, the better baseball gets...more competitive...more action...more excitement! Chris coached both the boys to victory. Ben was on the Storm...loved to catch and was a surprisingly good pitcher. Jack's team was the Padres again...and they LIT IT UP...ended up the season 19-1!! All-stars is starting up in a couple of weeks and Chris will be coaching the team through July...so more baseball is in our future.

Indy 500

SOOOO, I took my first trip to the midwest...and I liked it! We went out to Indiana for the Indy 500. Visited with some of Chris's relatives, enjoyed the race...TONS of people-a little humid but lots of fun...although we may have scarred the boys by the people we saw on the way back to the car after the race-let's just say-WHOA! Also got to go to the biggest Children's museum in the world...who knew it was in Indiana???

It's good to be Ben B

Where do I start?? Ben has become quite the man on campus...chattering away, enjoying life and friends. The last couple of months he has given a family heirloom presentation (he got an A...he showed a book that has been in the family since 1874), got to go ride to school in a semi truck (thanks Detwiler Family for the invite), was principal for a day (can't find the picture-darn it) and MC'd a volunteer tea (sorry, pics on my phone and haven't downloaded it yet)

"back in 1874..."

Double Digits...

In April Jack turned TEN!! I can't believe he is in double digits...where has the time gone??? He is prepping for the teen years just 3 short years away...the eye roll and "Wassup?" are almost perfected! We talked him into a nice "small" sleepover...we lucked out and some kids were out of town so it was even smaller-yeah!! We took them to a pizza place, threw money at them and then let them go wild!! Fun times!!

The Birthday Boy

YEAH!! More WEAPONS!!

Happy Birthday to you...

The lame little cake...well, at least it tasted good!
