Labor Day

I couldn't ask for a better weekend...good friends...good food...good times! Jessica came up for the weekend, we hooked up with Toni on Friday night...BBQ'd with Chris and some friends on Saturday...laid by the pool and drank Mai Tais (ok-actually it was only Jessica who drank them...I drank everything else!)

First day of school

It is already here...back to school! Jack is now in 4th grade...on a new campus (the school district is split up K-3 and 4-8)...and taller than his teacher!! Ben is in 2nd...excited to see his buddies...and tells me nothing except for the elaborate pretend games he and his friends play at recess.

They both are getting too cool for their parents and want to start calling us "Mom and Dad" in public...although Ben wants to call me "Mollie"...yes, he is a funny little guy. Also any displays of affection or nicknames are strictly forbidden...and forget about holding hands. Oh, my babies are growing up so fast!!

Thumbs up for education

Hello!

OH NO-there's Mommy in a bikini!!

Baby Kjellberg

My good friend Tatyana is expecting her first in October, so being the party planning lover that I am, I insisted on throwing her a baby shower. No silly games, just good friends, family, food and a little fun thrown in there too. Can't wait to meet the little guy!

There she is - the mom to be

Happy Trails....NOT!

In an effort to try something "different" this summer, I decided to take the boys on a hike, on a trail about 10 minutes away from here. I was told it was "easy to moderate", "shady", "great for beginners"....well, yes it was all those things, but you forget that where you go down you must come up too...9 miles roundtrip....4 1/2 hours total...slight incline...hot and sunny....we almost died (ok-maybe I exaggerate a bit)...crying was involved-although I wasn't one of them. Next time (if there is one...I may have ruined them forever) we will choose a much shorter, flatter trail

Early in the day...check out the lizard he found...how did he see something that small??? It almost looks like a tatoo

Still having fun...look how beautiful it is

Hanging out by the river

We are NOT having fun...this is the worst day ever!

We DID IT...we SURVIVED!!

Check us out...the Wilderness specialists...where is Ben??
