Mom and I just got back from Texas and the wedding of my cousin Rick and his longtime love Tina. We had a great time, I'm so glad we were able to go. It was a beautiful ceremony, they had great weather and of course the icing on the cake was getting to see relatives we don't get to see very often. Here are some pics....

Assortment
Here are some pictures of various things that have happened in the last couple of weeks...gotta start out with some new pictures of the puppies...getting bigger all the time...faster, smarter, heavier, messier, stronger...you name it they are becoming it!!

Can you see me in the grass?
Check out our new fence...actually it is because of the new pool that is going in.
Last week Ben and I were driving home from school and next door there was a huge turkey with its feathers all fluffed up and when it turned around it had an arrow sticking out its back. Something you don't see everyday...must be turkey season. And just in case you were curious, by the time we got out of the car and got my camera he was pretty far away and we couldn't get close to help...here is one of my bad pics...can't reallly see the turkey or the arrow, but what a great shot of the tree!!

Hanging out in the crib

In case you hadn't noticed...I have a bit of a quirky sense of humor. April fools came around and I wanted to get the boys so in one of my parenting magazines they had all these recipes for fake food. The boys didn't think it was a funny as I did!!
Just to let you know...they got me too...Jack came in and told me that the dogs had pooped in the living room and ran around in it...but of course being the good puppies they are they wouldn't dream of doing something like that. Jack got a big kick out of seeing me mumble under my breath and dash for the other room.
Check it out...my "fried egg"...acutally melted marshmellows and apricots
Burger cookies and fries
Mommy you are SOOOO strange!
Chris turned the BIG 37!! We had a little celebration here at the house with his favorite pineapple upside down cake
Let them eat cake
Daddy needs lots of help with all these candles

The BIG 8
Our little Jack isn't so little any more...in fact he is now 8!! I still can't believe it because that means I am getting ready to turn...oh, never mind!
Luck was on my side this year and Jack wanted to have his party somewhere other than his house....although he did want to invite just about everyone he knew (wonder where he gets that from??) His karate dojo hosts parties...so off we went for fun at a place I didn't have to clean!!!
They punched, kicked and ran off some energy. Hiya!!

Yo ho, yo ho a pirates life for me
Performance time for the 2nd graders. This year they did a pirate theme. After doing some raiding in my closet, Jack was ready to go. It was really cute, but I am not sure if Jack is cut out to be a performer...he threw up dinner right before we had to leave...I think his nerves got the best of him...but the show went on with him, he didn't want us to miss this "Once in a lifetime performance"!
Brendan S., Cassie and Jack
The show must go on!
It is a little dark on the computer...but there is Jack with the "B"
Notice anything about Jack?? We know he is big for his age...but check out the back row...he is 4'10" right now!
This is what Ben was up to during the performance...playing Bionicles with his buddy Wyatt...Ben took this picture-not bad-huh??

You Karate Do...YES!
It has now been 9 NINE long months of karate...the boys are really enjoying it...making friends...learning great life lessons....SOOOO you know what that means, YES, I signed them up for another NINE 9 months. Actually, I tried REALLY hard to talk them out of it, but Jack is now a brown belt in his class and just has two more months until he is a black and can then move up to the Juniors class so he didn't want to stop and Ben, well Ben likes to play with all his buddies so he is up for signing our life away!! Just kidding, it is all good...we LOVE karate, yes we do, we love Karate so how about you??!! Alright, I'll stop now.
