What is your favorite look?

The year has started off interesting...not only do we have the puppies to keep things fun and exciting...but Chris decided to go and get sick and stay in the hospital for 5 days.

Not to worry, he is back home and doing great...didn't have to have surgery (originally thought it was appendicitis) and now he has a proper diagnosis, Crohn's disease. He is on some meds and we are hopeful that things have calmed down for awhile.

Anyway...the purpose of this post...while he was in the hospital, he didn't shave and had a beard...I've known him for 14 years and he has never had one so I couldn't resist taking a few pictures....let me know which look you like....I'm not sure which one is my favorite, Jack loved the beard..Ben hated it. BTW, just in case you were curious...he is now clean shaven!

Puppies 101

We have had the puppies officially for a month (actually a little longer, but who is counting). And in that month, I've learned many, many things....like:

1. Puppies poop A LOT...and two puppies are a certifiable pooping factory.
2. Puppies need to go out right after they eat...see #1 as to why.
3. Puppies chew anything....they prefer things that you really like, such as shoes, furniture, legos, socks...you name it...and yes, I know this is just the beginning!
4. Puppies can shred paper like I've never seen before....they had a paper towel party in their pen one day that was incredible.
5. Champ is very hard to see in the dark (The 2nd night we had him, Ben took him out to go to the bathroom, when we asked him if he went or not, Ben answered "I couldn't see him, but I touched his wienie and it was wet"-YUK!)
6. Puppies tolerate small boys...the look on Max's face is priceless when Jack is trying to get him to sit in his lap.
7. Puppies can chew through lamp cords (thank goodness it was unplugged)
8. Puppies like to lick your legs after you put on lotion...eeeuughh.
9. Everyone has a puppy voice...have you ever noticed that?? You should hear the boys talking to their puppies....they have come up with some interesting pet names...Ben has been known to call Champ Mr. Whubbawhubbas (?) from time to time.
