Our new neighbors!

Yes, we have new neighbors...alright so some of them are kinda furry and others taste really good with cranberry sauce, but neighbors just the same!!

There is a family of deer that snack in our yard...they ate some of my flowers (not too happy about that) but they are pretty and don't seem to mind that we moved into their neck of the woods-literally. The turkeys come and go...the babies are so little, they get lost in the grass.

So here is my question...does anyone have "deer experience"? Do we want to welcome them with open arms or will we live to regret the day??? I grew up with "cute" racoons...or they were cute until they decided to move into our chimmney and run back and forth across our roof every night.

Can you spot the turkey in the straw??!! Posted by Hello

Mr. Baseball

SOOO, our career with the Dodgers has come to an end...the end of the season that is. Chris is VERY thankful...he almost broke out in hives (although he has broken out in Poison Oak...ask Mr. Smartypants how he did that!!) when he put on the shirt every week (who knew you could hate a professional team that much??!)

We signed Jack up for a team here in Meadow Vista so hopefully we can meet some
families and boys Jack's age...the only problem is the games are on Friday night...UGH! We can adjust for a few weeks. Here are some highlights from the Dodgers:

Let's get this party started!

So here we are in the new house...so I thought I would try a "new" form of technology to update people on our super exciting life (ok, so all the boys have exciting lives I just mainly observe and when I speak of "the boys" you all know that Chris is included in that group...he's my oldest)!!

Actually all kidding aside life is REALLY good. I can't complain about much (although don't talk to Chris about this subject because I think he views it very differently!!) I am a lucky lady with a great family and friends to complete it...so here is my blog. Check it every now and then to see what is going on in our life...

(I say expect updates every couple of weeks or so).

The NEW house...

SO, here we are three weeks into the new house and loving every minute of it (OK...maybe not when all the various contracter guys have to come through here at odd times of the day...but almost every minute)

We have just about every box unpacked (just waiting for the buffet in the dining room to be delievered-hopefully tomorrow) and we can park one car in the garage. Things are really coming along.

There was some big help from my parents this last weekend, the boys went to Thousand Oaks to see Chris's parents (lots of fun in the sun). So the team from "Trading Spaces" (what Chris and I have dubbed them) came into town with a mission to accomplish. Needless to say, if you need help decorating your house, or just finish work, Bill and Peg are the team to call. Our house now looks and feels like "home".

Chris was inspired and worked on the garage...he even used some of the various left over electronics, we can now rock out to tunes while working in the garage!! Actually, just about everything in this house is wired for speakers and/or music electronics...we have so many remotes to who knows what, one of these days I am going to press a button and accidentally turn off the west coast or something.

Jack B-the wise one

So Jack started kindergarten this year and it truly was an AMAZING year. You wouldn't/couldn't believe the things that he learned this year...big steps. I volunteered in the classroom as the music docent (??? hey, I wasn't that bad...got better as the year progressed)and it was neat to see how they all grew and changed as the year went on.

He also tried soccer and tball in the athletic department and he did pretty well...he just needs to get the focus of a jedi knight and I think we should be in business!

We just had his graduation last week-he is offically a 1st grader (he will start a new school next year-keep your fingers crossed). They gave me a "volunteer" plate during the ceremony and I embarrassed the whole family by crying when they called me up there (gosh, I am emotional!!) oh well.

Check out some pics:
