MY BAD....sorry for the LONG delay

My mom is lame...she made me dress like this...and she never updates her blog

Hi, My name is Ben and my mom is a cronic procrastinator
Hi, my name is Jack...don't I look a lot better when my mom doesn't try to dress me up in stupid stuff??!

OMG, I am the worst...on many different levels...summer fever hit me and knocked me out...well, not really, but made me VERY unproductive the last four months. Life has been good, busy, crazy, fun and exciting...we had a computer crash a few weeks ago and some pictures (Jeanne's baby shower, some baseball ones and the progression of our pool) were lost...YES, I know you are suppose to back everything up...so, YES, I learned a valuable lesson (can you tell I talk to myself a lot??-don't always listen...but gosh I can talk!!) Anyway, here is rundown of June, July, August and September:

SCHOOL'S OUT FOR SUMMER

Our little Ben is no longer a kindergartener...he graduated to first grade-WOW! He had a fantastic year with Mrs. Reynolds, she was patient, kind and understanding. Ben learned A LOT. They did a little performance at the end of the year....

Mr. Serious

Ready to greet the fans

Jack (looks like he is having the time of his life) and Daddy

Big Ben's Birthday Party

We decided to have a party here at the house and invite basically every boy we know...wow there were a lot of kids. The pool wasn't quite finished so we had a big water fight with Chris being the target...the boys loved that! Good Times.

Watch out Daddy, they are coming to get you!

Quick-reload!

Hanging out in the bounce house

Wyatt, Ben and Josh

The birthday lunch

Yeah, MORE toys!!

Look, stuff I can use to write on the walls

POOL TIME

We finally got tired of looking at all the dirt in the backyard and put in a pool...beautiful...serine...warm...I LOVE IT!! It took a little longer than expected-of course, but the results were worth it. We have been swimming everyday...the blonds are getting blonder...wish I was part of that group!

I had pictures of the whole process...but of course they were some of the ones to get lost in computerland...use your imagination...dirt space+digging a big hole+tiling+cement+plaster+water=a pool. Right now we are finishing up the landscaping....come by for a drink and soak up the rays.

Look what we found the day we filled up the pool

A BABY TARANTULA!! EEEEWWWW

CHRIS'S BIG CHANGE

Things have been a bit busy for ole Christopher the past couple of months. His firm A.G. Edwards got bought out by Wacovia at the end of May. He decided the best thing for him and his clients was to move over to Morgan Stanley and that is just what he did at the beginning of July. It has been a great move, super busy...lots of paperwork! He is happy and excited...check out the little bonus he got himself....

Cruising for chicks

Rollin'

Jack's comment when they went to pick it up was "I've waited my whole life for a Porsche"...WOW, out of the mouth of an 8 year old folks...I guess I need to work on those family values a little bit more-huh?!

BTW-I got a little bonus too....but somehow a volvo SUV just doesn't have the same effect as the porsche, Jack hasn't been waiting his whole life for one of those...oh well, I am excited and now I am officially a volvo driving soccer mom!

KARATE, KARATE, KARATE

It has been quite a summer for karate, yes, we are still there...although many of the friends we have made are not...bummer! Jack graduated to the Juniors class-he is learning different katas and just earned his official yellow belt last week-big stuff (if you are into that). Ben is almost a brown belt in his class...not loving it quite as much as Jack...but if I buy him a snack it sure cheers him up!!

I know the pictures are a bit dark...but as a proud karate mom I still wanted to share!!

Getting ready to graduate to juniors

Take a big bow

Yeah, I got a new belt...how about a snack Mommy?

Check me out

Lock it up

Serious stuff

Demonstrating for his yellow belt

Thank you very much sir

CAMPS, CAMPS, CAMPS

It wouldn't be summer without camps...they went to a golf camp, a nature camp (that we signed up for another week because Ben loved one of the counselors so much...I'm a little worried...Ben loves teenaged girls and to be quite honest...they love him too!!) and
Soccer camp! Here are some pics from British Soccer CampTalking strategy

What do you mean I have to run??? It's HOT out here!!

BOOK CLUB WINE TRIP

My book club took a monster limo...or limobus out to Napa this July...had a GREAT time...learned a lot (and not just about wines!!) But alas, what happens on the bus...stays on the bus...but you can check out the pictures!!

Beautiful Napa Valley

Maria and Angie doing a little dancing...can you tell I was having a good time??

NAPA, THE FAMILY TRIP

The boys won some tickets to Marine World...Discovery Kingdom or whatever it is called so we got to spend a couple of days with Nana and Papa...we also went to an outdoor concert while we were there...lots of fun.

Watch out Nana...we can make you sick!!

Check out our new friend Chilly

We are ready to spin

This is Jack in his attempt to win a bear...it said everyone wins a prize...but he didn't check out all the prizes and was certain he would win what he wanted..poor guy, I tried to warn him, I think he got 15 points and won a "plush, batman velcro tie"...lets just say he was very angry (and disappointed)...I don't think I helped matters by laughing!

Mom and I at the concert

Mom and Dad

BEN'S NEW SMILE

We knew it had to happen sometime...but gosh it sure did take a long time. Ben finally got a loose tooth...made looser by giving his brother a wedgy with this mouth (don't ask!). Check out the action

Dr. Daddy checking on the wiggle factor

I just lost a tooth...should I be excited or worried??!

The Beeman Boys with their handsome smiles

RIVERCATS

When Jack went to a baseball clinic this spring he won a special ticket pack to the Rivercats (our minor league baseball team). We got to go on a backstage tour and take some friends with us too-lots of fun at the ballpark

The Beemans and The Olsons in the dugout

Christina, Abby and I...look at my cute top...I had it on backward the whole night...oops!

Alex, Ben, Jack, Aaron and Abby

SAN DIEGO

We got to go on a little family trip down to our old haunting grounds...Jack swears he remembers the place we lived at when he was a newborn. Anyway, we went to Seaworld, Legoland, a Charger pregame and of course visited with friends. Thanks Petits for putting us up!!

Party guys on vacation

Go Super Chargers

WOOHOO-we can see all the action

Me and my boys

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL

I still can't believe that the summer is over...it went by so fast. The boys have been back to school for almost a month now and we are back in the swing of things. Jack is now in 3rd grade-WOW and doing great in Mrs. Knapp's class. Ben has Jack's old teachers from last year, they moved down a grade and he is slowly making the transition to a full day...most day's he wakes up saying he will be tired after school...and asks how many more days until the weekend!! He enjoys the social aspects and even has a group of friends that he calls the "Nachos"...where does he come up with these things??!

We are ready to go with our reflective backpacks!

Thumbs up for a good school year

Wanna be part of the Nachos?

Mommy, I am too cool for pictures in the classroom

MAX AND CHAMP

They are almost a year old...October 23rd. They are doing great...shedding like you read about...I swear I vacuum up a cat every other day with the amount of hair that comes off of them!!

They went on a little adventure last month and we thought we lost them, but thanks to some wonderful neighbors (Jen Ryan) who picked them up after they got skunked and took care of them overnight (because one collar came off and tags fell off the other one...yes, we have invested in new collars and tags...and they were already microchiped) we were able to find them the next day. I think it scared us all a lot...the dogs have stayed very close to home ever since.

BTW...they LOVE the pool...swimming fools...I'll have to take some pictures and actually post them in a timely manner!!

My name is Max, I love to get wet then run in the dirt

My name is Champ and I like to drink pool water and get sick in my parents room

You talking to me?

Hello, we should be hairless now by the amount we shed this summer

I know, I know we are really cute

LAST BUT NOT LEAST...LAWN ART

SOOO, I joke that you can find some pretty interesting lawn art here in Meadow Vista (I'll have to take some pictures to show you)...anyway, a couple of weeks ago the boys and I come home from school and we had our very own live version of lawn art just sitting there in the shade playing it cool...thought it was kinda funny!!

Now you are caught up...I promise...no, that is too much pressure...I will try to get better about posting and not have four months go by without anything!!
